Following a huge rain shower during the JCW Mini Challenge the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB was set for a very active and exciting race, which started instantly with a spin into the gravel at Copse from Burden in the #56 Toro Verde GT car. Aimee Watts 2 laps later had a huge spin coming dangerously close to the barriers after catching the exit curb at Copse sent the car hard to the right, when Aimee tried to catch the car it snapped left and started a 720 degree spin – similar to Burden’s a lap before.

Mark McKenzie had a massive scary exiting Luffield, after catching the outside curb and spinning on the racing line, Harvey approached rapidly and came extremely close to T-boning the spinning McKensie but swerving out of the way. McKenzie spun on the start / finish straight only a lap later, but this time spun to the left hand side and out of dangers way – McKenzie was able to continue after both of these spins. In the meantime, Rogers and Marshall similar to race two earlier today were at the front of the field, handling the conditions perfectly as they approached the half-way point.

James Seale spun at Copse with 9 minutes left after running wide but wasn’t as lucky as those before him and found himself in the tyre barriers at Copse and unable to continue, bringing out the safety car and bunching the field back up. Unfortunately the race would end under the safety car, with the recovery of Seale’s Porsche not being able to be recovered on time for the race to be resumed.

Rogers would win the finale at Silverstone for the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB, marking a huge achievement for Team Parker Racing, who have now gone undefeated for a year in the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB! The drivers championship is still well and truly on in Brands Hatch in just over 2 weeks time, one that’s definitely not to miss!
