Race one at Silverstone saw Aiden Moffat have his first BTCC race win since 2024 – when he took his fifth career win at Donington Park’s season opener – snatched from him due to a 5 second track limits penalty after starting from second on the grid alongside his LKQ Euro Car Parts teammate Mikey Doble, who secured the win after a frantic defensive battles on the first laps kept him in second position right behind the unfortunate Scotsman. The podium was rounded out by Tom Chilton and Josh Cook, with Moffat dropping to 6th

Ash Sutton would have to wait until race 2 to have a chance to take the title, after dramas involving a collision with fellow champions Gordon Shedden and Tom Ingram – which saw Ingram run extremely deep into Brooklands and have another marvellous save, but ultimately lose places – and second in the championship and teammate Cammish having to pit and retire – saw him in a championship winning position. However Ingram would catch Sutton on the last lap and finish a position behind the NAPA car to keep the championship battle on!

Dexter Patterson secured the Jack Sears trophy simply by finishing race 1 on Sunday morning, becoming Power Maxed Racing’s 5th winner of the trophy – alongside race winner Mikey Doble. A reminder that the Jack Sears trophy winner is “the best BTCC driver without a podium at seasons start.” Lewis Selby, James Dorlin, Nicolas Hamilton and Sam Osbourne are still left to fight it out for 2nd in the trophy. Leaving a brilliant battle for Brands Hatch to witness!
