One of the worlds best formula racing championships makes it return at Donington Park this weekend – 22nd – 23rd of August 2026 – supporting the BTCC yet again after an exciting outing at Thruxton including Adam Al Azhari and Jaber Alsabah becoming the seasons 2 newest winners, making it 11 different winners from 18 rounds!
“Belgium’s hope” Dries Van Lagendonck with Rodin Motorsport currently leads the championship with a 41 point advantage to British Lewis Wherrell with JHR Developments in second. Wherrell requires a strong weekend to close the gap to his Belgium championship rival if he hopes to give DVL a fight when it comes to Brands Hatch GP in October for the season finale!
Hitech lead the teams standings with 342.5 points, Rodin Motorsport are chasing with the fast charging DVL assisting. Hitech have Theo Palmer – 3rd, Scott Lindblom – 5th, Adam Al Azhari – 7th, and Chiara Battig in 16th helping lead the team to an almost 100 point lead heading into this weekend at Donington, with 12 races left everything is still in contention and nobody is out of the fight just yet!
